The Forests and the Trees: IT Vendor Meeting at Weyerhaeuser

Weyerhaeuser invited its top technology vendors to an IT briefing last month in Seattle. We were treated to refreshments and great views from the company’s relatively new HQ located in historic Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle.

The Top 20% of IT vendors were on hand for a special briefing from Mark Miller, VP of IT, and the IT leadership team.

Mark Miller, CIO/VP of IT, and his IT leadership team all shared brief presentations about their projects and priorities, and how their top IT partners—including Argos Software—can help.

“Chase perfection, catch excellence” is the Weyerhaeuser motto, and this focus on continuous improvement is evident throughout the organization. Following the formal presentations, vendor partners had plenty of time to meet with the company’s IT team members individually or in small groups.

We were also pleased to be able to visit with one of our key contacts, Joanna Botz, who was on the original software selection team a decade ago and continues to be instrumental in the use of Argos Software at Weyerhaeuser.
