Order Management

Take, price and fill orders on one record

Quotes and orders move from quote to shipped on one record, priced from your price tables and filled from the lots and locations set on each line.

The problem

When order entry, pricing and stock sit in different places, order takers quote without seeing what is on the shelf and pickers learn about shortages at the rack.

With Argos

Order takers find items by any SKU and open a customer's past purchases and substitute items from the order line, customers and ship-tos are kept current in one place, and a filtered batch of orders moves stage, reprices or commits in one run.

What orders and customers covers

16 capabilities, each with its own page.

Sales Order Entry

Take quotes and orders in the browser

Enter quotes and orders in the browser and move each one from quote to shipped, with stock untouched until the order needs it. Order takers find items by any SKU, see what the customer bought before, and check substitutes and other open orders without leaving the order.

  • One order moves through stages from quote to shipped, and quotes do not touch inventory
  • Add lines by item, alternate SKU, the customer's SKU or the ship-to's SKU, or import them from a file with a preview first
  • From any item line, open the customer's past purchases, substitute items with their available stock, or every open order for the same item or lot

Customers, Ship-Tos and Carriers

Keep customers, ship-tos and carriers in one place

Your team maintains customers, their ship-to addresses, carriers, warehouses and sales tax codes from the browser, so every order and shipment starts from the same, current record.

Batch Order Processing

Update a whole batch of orders at once

Move a filtered group of orders to a new stage, reprice them, copy them or commit them in one run, with a count of what changed and a list of what failed.

Accounts, Opportunities and Sales Activities

Track accounts, opportunities and sales activities

Keep every account with its contacts, log activities and follow-ups, and track each sales opportunity by stage and account manager, in the same system that runs your orders.

Customer and Partner Lists and Labels

List and print customers, partners, codes and labels

Print listings and data profiles of your customers, ship-tos, carriers, vendors, agents and other trading partners, list the codes they use, show how customers are related and print mailing labels.

Quotes, Labels and Specialty Picking Documents

Print quotes, labels and specialty picking documents

Print customer quotes, item barcode and serial number labels, transaction and address labels, consolidated and route picking slips, and packing slips that list every serial number shipped.

Sales, Margin and Bookings Reports

Analyze sales, margins and bookings from your orders

See sales by customer, item, salesperson and product category, compare fiscal periods, check gross margins before and after commit, and weigh future bookings against supply and prior years.

Point of Sale for Counter Sales

Ring up counter sales at a point of sale

Scan or pick items onto a counter sale, take payment against its total and see the sale totals, with point of sale settings kept in your order management setup.

Questions buyers ask

Straight answers, drawn from what the software does today.

Can order takers find items by the customer's own SKU?

Yes. Lines can be added by item, alternate SKU, the customer's SKU or the ship-to's SKU, or imported from a file with a preview first.

Do quotes reserve inventory?

No. A quote moves through the same stages as an order on one record, from quote to shipped, and stock is untouched until the order needs it.

How are orders priced?

Each order carries a price level, and line prices come from your price tables. An open order can be repriced from the current tables, and discounts, fees, freight and cost components are added on the order itself.

Can we choose which lots and locations an order ships from?

Yes. Pick lots by hand or, where the order profile allows it, let the system choose lots as the order moves to a shipping stage, and assign each line's quantity to warehouse locations.

Can we update many orders at once?

Yes. A filtered group of orders can be moved to a new stage, repriced, copied or committed in one run, with a count of what changed and a list of what failed.

Which order documents can we print?

Picking slips, packing slips, order acknowledgments, invoices and delivery notifications, each from a choice of standard layouts.
