The Identity (ID) module in ABECAS Insight is the central repository of account information and assigns codes used by the other modules. It is included in the CORE system.

Centralizing ID data means you only enter the code in one module and it is available for use in any module that requires it. For example, if you use the Freight Management (FM) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules, the shipper and consignee codes for each are both maintained in ID. If you also use Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Order Management (OM), Equipment and Facilities (EM), or Service Management (SM), the Terms Codes and Sales Tax Codes used by those modules are maintained in the Identity module.

By sharing codes used in multiple modules, ID reduces the amount of data entry time required to create and maintain the codes. When an Identity ID changes their name, address, phone number, or any other vital piece of information, you only need to change the information in one place and every module using that code automatically has the updated version.
