Transportation Management Software

Argos Software has been providing a proven Freight Management System (FMS) to the trucking industry since 1984.  Our focus has been “for hire” carriers, contract carriers and freight brokers.  The range of our users is extensive and includes truckload, LTL, container, refrigerated, agricultural, tanker, bulk, pneumatic, dump, auto, truck, messenger, delivery, specialized/heavy haulers, riggers, contract carriers, freight forwarders, and freight brokers.  Some users are completely local while others are exclusively long haul, with most in between.


Many users take advantage of the integrated nature of ABECAS Insight™ and use most of our trucking related modules, including dispatching, billing, rating, driver/contractor/carrier settlements, receivables, payables, accounting, payroll, equipment and facilities management, parts inventory, fuel taxes, and warehouse management.  Some even take advantage of the Activity Based Costing built into ABECAS™.  Others, on the other hand, primarily use our FMS for its billing, settlements and receivables capability.  The use of dispatching is not required.


The ABECAS Insight™ FMS is tailored to the various aspects required to operate a trucking company, regardless of type.  This includes order entry, dispatching, resource (truck, trailer and driver) tracking, messaging, trip building and control, freight billing, and settlements processing for drivers/contractors/outside carriers.  The freight billing allows multiple charges to be automatically displayed, with automatic rating, if required. Interfaces are available for ALK´s PC-Miler™ and Rand McNally´s MileMaker™, for on-board computers, such as Qualcomm and Peoplenet, and for fuel cards, such as Comdata, T-Check, EFS, and TCH.  EDI and web interfaces are also available.  With our communications software you can fax, e-mail and send/receive EDI documents. 

The ABECAS Insight FMS is a powerful, customizable and flexible system that integrates with the rest of the ABECAS Insight system, including the accounting, payroll, personnel, maintenance, warehouse management, and sales management modules.  Screen content and layout can be designed by you; screen and report labels can be relabeled in the data dictionary by you; data entry is simplified and controlled through the use of “data profiles” or templates that can be built at the level appropriate to each customer or type of shipment; reports, forms and labels can all be customized, including having specific forms for each customer or type of shipment; ad hoc reports can  be quickly generated with the format being saved for later use; and security is available at the menu level or by function or field within each program. 


Argos Software is committed to supporting each user in implementing and operating our FMS.  Our goal is to exceed user expectations and to assist each one in gaining the full benefit of our system.  We provide implementation planning workshops, both in our office and on-site, implementation services and training, both on-site and remotely, and on-going support services.  Our ABECAS Insight Subscription Service includes telephone and web support services, program updates and periodic upgrades.  We customize the product to your requirements and then continue to support these modifications as part of the system ... never leaving you an orphan.  Our FMS is the result of over 20 years of experience in the industry.
