Nurseries & Agribusiness Software

ABECAS™ Insight has been designed and developed over 30 years by Argos Software to provide a specialized software solution for a wide range of nurseries and agribusinesses. For nurseries and greenhouses, it provides full production, sales, purchasing, and accounting management. It is particularly well suited to grower-wholesalers, re-wholesalers and nurseries servicing the landscaper and retail markets. For agricultural product processors and packer-shippers, it provides processing/packing management, sales, grower payments, purchasing, and accounting management. It is particularly well suited to shippers who process/pack/ship their own product or product they have purchased from others. For growers, farms and ranches, it provides a full activity based costing system that includes labor, supplies and equipment charge-out. For farm management companies, it builds on top of the farm system to include the ability to transfer expenses between companies, charge for services, and report to and bill owners.

Argos Software provides a full suite of operations, management and accounting software. Initially, the emphasis was on the Activity Based Costing (ABC) and accounting capabilities of the system. This evolved into full support of inventory, sales, commissions, grower payables, production, work orders, purchasing, delivery management, payroll, and equipment-facilities management in an integrated system. As an integrated system, it includes the electronic exchange of information (EDI) with trading partners, web access by customers and salespeople, mobile (handheld) computers, and automated processing. Critical management information can be displayed in user designed dashboards. The system can exchange data with other in-house systems should that be required.

This system comprises the ABECAS™ Insight modules required to meet your specific requirements. Outside software can be integrated, as necessary, such as mileage and routing software, credit card processing, and various web services. As an enterprise-level system, it contains the functionality required by both simple and complex operations with the ability for you to configure the system to your business processes and requirements. Where additional requirements exist, the system will be enhanced by Argos Software to meet these requirements. Our goal is to give you the “insight” into your business for optimal performance.
