The ABECAS™ Insight Accounting System provides a powerful base on which to build diverse business applications. Argos Software has used this core functionality to add more generally required functionality that can be used by both our core industries as well as a wide range of other businesses. As a result, these modules are available either as standalone systems or as part of our broader system offerings. Either way, the underlying ABECAS™ Insight Accounting System is provided as part of the system and allows you to meet the most demanding accounting requirements of your Controller. Where the modules need to interface with other modules, these links are provided. On top of all that, all of the ABECAS™ Insight tools, such as Dashboards, EDI, Task Agent, Handheld Devices, and so on, are available.

The following are other modules available from Argos Software:

  • Contact Management for Account Management allows a sales and marketing team to focus on the opportunities presented by their customers and prospects. This provides the functionality required to build a strong pipeline, manage relationships, generate more business, and create satisfied customers. It allows all activity to be tracked against the identified opportunities with easy access to all required follow-up. Management reporting provides managers with the current status of their pipeline.

  • Contact Management for Topic Management allows personnel and other managers to manage any and all topics of concern in their area of the business. It is particularly useful for tracking safety, training, disciplinary, and other personnel topics. It allows topics to be defined for personnel, such as employees and applicants, as well as for customers, vendors and other entities. Then as activity occurs related to the topic, records are maintained of this detail as well as having the topic updated. The personnel records are separated for security purposes.

  • Service Management for Service Providers allows the service department to manage all requests for service. This might range from receiving and assigning a request to send a technician out to repair some equipment or facility … to assisting with personal services … to landscaping crews doing both construction and maintenance work … to tracking support requests from internal or external users of a service, such as software and financial services. These services may be provided on a fixed fee basis with periodic billing or on an “as used” basis or a combination

  • Services Management for Utilities allows a utility to track both requests for service work as well as the billing for services. This is particularly suited to water utilities, both domestic and irrigation utilities. This allows the installation and maintenance of customer facilities to be managed with work assigned to individuals or crews, as relevant. Charges may be based on the consumption of services, such as meter readings or flows, as well as on fixed periodic charges.

  • Equipment and Facilities Management allows any type of equipment and facility to be tracked for scheduled preventive maintenance, repairs, cost and charge out purposes. Schedules may be set up based on time or distance/usage, maintenance requests can be built into work orders with all labor, parts, equipment, and outside repairs tracked, costed and billed, either internally or to an outside customer. All costs related to each item are tracked and reported in detail. In the case of trucks, all mileage and fuel usage is tracked and used to generate the required IFTA fuel tax report.

  • Railcar Yard Management allows an operator of a private rail yard to track the location of each rail car from the time it is inter-changed in until it leaves. It supports having multiple tracks where the cars are shuffled in order to work with or release cars. This provides immediate knowledge of where the cars are and their status.
