The Inventory Management Software module
is a full-featured inventory management
system that integrates with all relevant
ABECAS™ Insight modules. It allows you to
manage your inventory by warehouse/item/lot
as well as track serial numbers, if needed.
Availability is tracked at the physical (on
hand) level as well as the expected future
level based on pending sales and
purchases/production. Optionally, the
location of items in the warehouse can be
managed through the putaway, picking and
location transfer processes.
The item master contains the details and
rules on how each item (and lot) will be
used throughout ABECAS™ Insight. This
includes cost, price, discount, tax,
commission, units of measure, size,
preferred storage and pick locations,
available and expiration dates, reorder,
product groupings, royalties, warranties,
picture, and handling information. It also
supports the relationship between eaches,
cases, pallets and containers.
Accounting is handled at the Product
Category level and allows for “behind the
scene” accounting for inventory, sales, cost
of sales, receipts, usage, and adjustments.
Returns and price adjustments can be tracked
separately, if desired. Inventory may be
received directly through the IM module or
through Purchase Orders and Production
Management. Inventory used in production,
promotions and other non-sales activity can
be directly charged as usage, as relevant.
