The ABECAS™ Insight Accounting Software System is a powerful "Activity-Based Costing" (ABC) system. Because the Accounting System integrates with all available ABECAS Insight modules as well as external business systems, it is able to manage ‘end-to-end’ financial business processes, without requiring additional input at the operational level. It is an accounting solution that is easily mapped to your business processes. It comes as a core component of ABECAS™ Insight and provides both accrual- and cash-basis accounting along with robust management reporting and analytics, and optionally Executive Dashboards designed by you. The Accounting System enables records and transactions to be completely transparent, and is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant. The Accounting Software helps in deterring fraud with an audit trail that tracks changes by User ID.

The core Accounting Software System includes;

The General Ledger reports from the accounting transactions based on the Department and Account information entered. The Fund Accounting provides an alternative GL and reports based on the Fund and Account information entered. The Cost Accounting is a full ABC system and reports based on the Job (cost center, project, process, contract, location, product, work order, or year/season), Account and Activity (task or phase). In each case, full account detail is available.

As a fully integrated system, various other modules and options are available. Accounting information may be exchanged with other companies through an Inter-company Transfers option. If you do business in one or more foreign currencies or have foreign operations running ABECAS™ Insight, then Foreign Exchange is supported as an option, including both realized and unrealized gains/losses in your financial statements.
